These are terms and conditions for abodesofas.com and are set out for Oswald & Pablo Ltd trading as Abode Sofas. They apply with the use of purchasing any of our products through our website (www.abodesofas.com) or by placing an order over the telephone or email to our sales team. You should take note that by purchasing any of our products or using our services with Oswald & Pablo Ltd, you agree and are bound by the terms and conditions set our below. Within the terms and conditions set out below:
“Seller, Abode Sofas” – the company, Oswald & Pablo Ltd.
“Buyer, Customer” – person/company who is ordering. This is the name given on the order/invoice.
“Conditions” – the terms and conditions set out within this document agreed by the buyer and set out by the seller.
“Product” – products are the goods/furniture displayed on our website our provided by the Seller.
“Site” – www.abodesofas.com
Please read through the terms and conditions below thoroughly.
1.0 Company Information
1.1 – www.abodesofas.com is a website owned and maintained by Oswald & Pablo Ltd.

2.0 Accessing our site
2.1 – The seller is constantly updating and developing this website with new products and improving upon any information to make the shopping experience on abodesofas.com the best it can be to benefit all customers.
To allow this, the Seller has the right too:
– Change or withdraw any part of this website with or without notice, this can be either temporarily or permanently.
– Change sales or promotions at any time.
– Change the conditions and continued use of our website with the acceptance of such change.
– The Seller is not liable if for any reason our site is unavailable at any time or for any period.
2.2 – Access to this website is permitted on a temporary basis, and the Seller reserves the right to withdraw or amend the service provided on the site without notice. Abode Sofas is not be liable if for any reason the site is unavailable at any time or for any period.
3.0 Information Accuracy
3.1 – Abode Sofas takes care and precautions to make sure that every piece of information, images and specifications on this website is correct. The Seller is confident that all products have been described as much as possible and correct
at the time of publishing all products to this website. Orders will not be taken on products which deemed to have material errors in the description or price advertised on this website. Buyers will be notified of any known errors upon being known.
3.2 – All price displayed on www.abodesofas.com are inclusive of VAT.
3.3 – The Seller is likes to make sure any images of products and materials are as accurate as possible. However due to a large difference in quality on display platforms, this cannot guarantee the colour will be as accurate to the actual product. No images are computer generated. A FREE swatch service is offered by the Seller to make sure the Buyer is satisfied with colour, texture and durability of any fabrics and leather offered on our site.
4.0 Order Acceptance
4.1 – Any Customer that places an order with Abode Sofas, either through the website, telephone or email, will be sent an invoice of purchase via email or post.
4.2 – It is important that the Buyer reads and check through the invoice thoroughly and advises the Seller of any amendments. By receiving this order invoice, the Buyer understands that this is a legally binding contract.
4.3 – This contract between the Buyer and Customer will include all the specifications about the Buyer’s product, delivery address and any additional comments on your product.
4.4 – The contract will only relate to products which have been confirmed in the invoice. The Buyer will not be obliged to supply any other products which are not part of this contract, until the order of additional products has been confirmed on a separate invoice contract.
5.1 – Abode Sofas offer FREE delivery on all our handmade furniture to UK mainland only. This does not include the Scottish Highlands, Ireland or any remote areas.
5.2 – At the time of order the Buyer will be notified by the Seller of any additional costs for delivery. As the Buyer, if you are aware of your delivery address being outside of our FREE UK delivery parameters, please ask for a delivery quotation upon ordering. For shipping quotes on all our products please contact for a quote.
5.3 – Delivery of all our Chesterfield Sofas and furniture are scheduled to be within your property within approximately 5 weeks. Please allow for public holidays and weekends.
5.4 – Bespoke orders are excluded from this 5 week delivery schedule. Any bespoke orders will receive an approximate delivery lead time upon ordering.
5.5 – Delivery on all products will be carried out by a two man delivery courier service.
5.6 – Abode Sofas will not be liable for any damages that may occur to your property during the delivery of your products. The Buyer should take precautions within the property to remove any obstacles/objects that may be in the way of delivery.
5.7 – The Seller should be made aware upon ordering any difficult access within your property so that advise can be given on the best way to get the product into your property.
5.8 – The Buyer should make sure that your nominated room for the product is fully accessible for the delivery team whether that is a ground floor, or adequate stairs or elevator if on a higher floor.
5.9 – Delivery is always subject to health and safety of the delivery men.
5.10 – The two man delivery service will unpack and place the product into any room of choice and take away any packaging and recycle wherever possible.
5.11 – Once the product is into the property, to make sure of full satisfaction, the buyer will be asked by the delivery team to sign a delivery note to acknowledge delivery of the product/s. This declares to the Seller that the Buyer is happy and content with the product that you has been received.
5.12 – If for any reasons the delivery team is unable to gain access to the delivery address on the agreed delivery date, the products will be returned to our warehouse and the Seller will make contact with the Buyer to re-arrange delivery. Unfortunately under these circumstances it may be that the Seller will have to charge for re-delivery of your product.
5.13 – The Buyer is required to take delivery on the agreed nominated delivery date and time slot confirmed between the Buyer themselves and the Seller.
5.14 – In the event of a failed delivery by the Buyer, the Seller reserves the right to charge for an additional redelivery fee.
5.15 – Any problems not identified immediately upon delivery must be reported to the Seller within 7 working days of receipt of order. Any problems with delivery or the product should be reported to the Seller immediately.
6.1 – The sellers accepts several payment methods on all products. These include Cash on delivery, Bank Transfer and Cheque. Details for bank transfer will be provided on request to customers who have ordered.
6.2 – The Seller does not accept any responsibility for cash or cheques sent through the post.
6.3 – If 50% deposit payment method is chosen by the Buyer, the 50% deposit will need to be made up receiving the order invoice in order to secure the order. Production on the order will not start until this deposit is made by the Buyer.
6.4 – The Buyer will be required to pay the remaining 50% payment on the week of delivery. This payment must be made before the delivery can made.
6.5 – The remaining 50% deposit can be made cash on delivery, however if this arrangement cannot be made on the day of delivery, your order will be returned to our warehouse and classed as a failed delivery by the Buyer.
6.6 – The Seller will endeavour to deliver at the agreed time however the Seller cannot guarantee delivery dates and times due to circumstances outside of the Sellers control. However the Seller will do their best to keep you informed of any forewarned delays.
6.7 – If the Buyer fails to make final payment as required before delivery, the Seller may suspend delivery of the products or any further products until payment is made in full.
6,8 – Payments via PayPal will incur a 4% charge for fees, this will be given on top of the payment.
7.0 Intellectual Property Rights
7.1 – Any materials on our site should not be used for personal or commercial purposes, without obtaining a licence to do so from us.
7.2 – All images used on www.abodesofas.com are copyright material belonging to Abode Sofas and all rights are reserved.
7.3 – Please contact the Seller for the use of any images or material belonging to Abode Sofas and shown on this site.
8.1 – This section does not apply to Buyers who purchase a product for a business or commercial use.
8.2 – The Buyer has 14 days to return any items that are purchased on Abode Sofas, with a returns notice being issued within 7 days of delivery by either email or letter.
8.3 – Defective, Damaged or Incorrect Item – If the Buyer is returning an item because of an error on the Sellers part or because it is damaged or defective, the Seller will uplift the product or pay the Buyers costs of returning it to the Seller by refunding your return postage costs. The Buyer can expect a refund in the same form of payment originally used for the purchase within 14 working days of the Seller receiving your returned item.
8.4 – If it doesn’t fit – If the Buyer requires an exchange for a different size the Buyer can return the original item to the Seller. Postage costs to return the products are to be covered by the Buyer. Under special circumstances and it’s a product that is wanted by popular demand, the Seller may exchange and uplift the product for free.
8.5 – Restocking – Any orders that are returned to the Seller, regardless of the reason, must reach us in 100% saleable condition. This applies to the product and it’s packaging.
8.6 – The Buyer has a legal obligation to care of the products whilst in their possession. All returned items will be checked for damages or defects. In the event no fault is found a refund will not be given and delivery will be reschedule and a fee will be charged in accordance to condition 9.8.
8.7 – In the unlikley event of a product being returned & the item or packaging is rendered unsaleable at it’s full retail price, we reserve the right to charge a re-stocking fee of 50% of the price at which it was sold originally.
8.8 – The Seller reserves the right to re-charge the Buyer for the item/s re-delivery to recover our fees and expenses from you.
8.9 Buyers who purchase a product which is either ordered as a “Bespoke” product or products that have been made to the Buyers specifications, “Customer’s Own Material” or otherwise customised cannot be returned and exempt from these returns conditions. This includes fabric not from standard range, or a design that has been altered in ant way from the original.
8.10 Any products being returned must arrive back to Abode Sofas registered address within 30 days of the notice of return.
9.1 – All products are of high quality, they are British handmade and produced from quality materials, therefore Abode Sofas have huge confidence in them, therefore guarantees are offered to Buyers. The Buyers offers a 10 year frame guarantee and 3 years on manufacturing.
9.2 – The guarantee for all products starts from the day of delivery and only covers manufacturing defects on the frame.
9.3 – Guarantees does not cover against defects which may arise on the product that is not under normal use or in extreme environments. It also does not cover general wear and tear by the Customer.
9.4 – Guarantee is none transferrable and relates to the person named on the original invoice.
9.5 – Guarantee only relates to items present on original invoice and for those that have been paid for in full.
9.6 – Products taken out of the UK or sold overseas will not be covered by our guarantee.
10.0 Cancellation Policy
10.1 – The Seller abides by the Consumer Contracts Regulation, which applies to products that the Customer has purchased and has not previously been seen or examined in our warehouse.
10. 2 – Any order that is ordered as a “Bespoke” product or products that have been made to your specifications, “Customer’s Own Material” or otherwise customised are exempt from from this cancelation policy.
10.3 If the Consumer Contracts Regulations apply to your order, the Buyer can cancel the purchase by notifying the Seller in writing or email before or within 14 working days of delivery. Inclusive of the delivery day.
10.4 Cancellations of orders which are classed as bespoke will not be entitled to a refund of the initial 50% deposit.
11.1 Customers who require a refund will have their monies refunded by the original method of payment within 14 days of either receiving products back or cancellation of the contract before receiving their order.
